June 1st – Scammonden<\/h3>\n

CANCELLATION<\/p>\n

Hi all<\/p>\n

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the Hill climb on Sunday 1 June is CANCELLED.<\/p>\n

The club has contiued to run this event since the return to competition after covid. To do that has cost the club \u00a36000 in lost revenue and unfortunately this can not carry on.<\/p>\n

Right now we have only 13 entries and only 11 marshals. If we continued with this we would loose upwards of \u00a32000\/\u00a33000.<\/p>\n

During our days of sorting the fixtures we obviously got our “dates wrong” but not always knowing where other clubs stood we put our dates forward.<\/p>\n

Its now a bit late for us to do anything other than cancel.<\/p>\n

We are disappointed that we have to cancel, but we just cannot afford to run this event with such a projected loss.<\/p>\n

We will look into whether we can run the event later in the year.<\/p>\n
